Working Together

The Abilene Chamber of Commerce is proud to have served the Abilene business community since 1908. The Chamber and its family of divisions support our mission to make Abilene a great place live, work, play and do business. We engage constituencies and address specific areas of growth to help develop and promote the economy and quality of life.

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

Beyond what might be considered typical Chamber of Commerce services, we are also the umbrella organization for the Abilene Regional Growth Alliance (ARGA), Abilene Cultural Affairs Council (ACAC), Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB), the Abilene Downtown Initiative, the Military Affairs Committee (MAC), and the Abilene Young Professionals (AYP).

All of our affiliates pride themselves on working toward developing and promoting the economy and quality of life in the Abilene area.

Overview

Primary Goals:

To provide a business-friendly climate, strongly advocate for our area and engage with our members to effectively provide core services and communications.

To work together to maintain and expand our Big Country’s workforce and talent pipeline, at all levels, and to meet the needs of our business community today and in the future.

To invest in key mobility solutions and other 21st-century infrastructure initiatives, as well as to align actions with our region’s identity and unique assets and ensure all residents are connected by equitable experiences.
