Big Brothers Big Sisters brings Mac & Cheese Cook-off

The Big Cheese is a family-friendly event and each guest, no matter the age, will get to play a part by voting for their favorite dish. People’s Choice, Kid’s Choice, and Judges’ Choice award winners will be announced. The overall winner from all three categories will be named “The Big Cheese”. Tickets are on sale now and cost $25 for adults, $5 for children (15 & under) when purchased by October 17th. Event day prices increase to $30 for adults and $10 for children (15 & under).

Out of Shadows Honor Walk and Candlelight Vigil

Noah Project is going to have a Honor Walk and Candlelight Vigil on October 18th at 6:30 PM in honor of the women in Texas who have lost their lives because of domestic violence. The event will begin on the steps of the Abilene Convention Center with a Proclamation regarding Domestic Violence Awareness Month and end at the Taylor County Courthouse where we still start the Candlelight Vigil at 7:15 pm.
