MISSION
Involve the membership in the growth and development of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and broaden the financial base and support of the Chamber, its programs and its activities.
PROGRAMS AND OBJECTIVES
- Increase value of Chamber investment to our partners/investors.
- Retain current members by looking for opportunities to involve them in Chamber events.
- Research new benefits and services that can be provided to the membership that will promote partnering together in the “new” economy.
- Continue to expand diversity of membership and increase membership involvement.
- Increase the involvement and participation of the Redcoat Committee so that expanded business-to-business contacts can be made.
- Explore additional methods of providing non-dues sources of income.
- Enhance electronic communications and opportunities utilizing technology via the web.
- Hold monthly overview sessions for any member or non-member to learn more about the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.
- Produce an annual membership and business directory.
- Produce the annual Abilene Magazine ~ A Guide to Abilene for use in marketing businesses in Abilene and attracting new businesses and newcomers to our area.
- Produce the monthly newsletter, the Chamber Connection and Weekly Connection.
- Conduct the annual Chamber Banquet and Membership Meeting.
- Conduct Wake Up Wednesday!, Business After Hours and other networking/relationship building opportunities for the members. Provide “Quick Tips” on how to network and market themselves and their business.
